Snowy Monaro Regional Council is developing a strategy for Cooma’s parks. The Cooma Parks and Play Strategy aims to provide Cooma with a long-term vision for sustainably managed and maintained parks, that can be enjoyed for years to come. The Strategy will provide a framework for Council decision-making, guide park development and support grant funding applications.
The strategy includes:
The strategy does not include:
existing developed parks (e.g. playgrounds) in Cooma
recreation facilities such as the skate park, sports fields, showground and fitness equipment stations
undeveloped recreation land in Cooma (zoned RE1 Public Recreation)
parks where the principal purpose is a memorial (e.g. Southern Cloud Memorial Park, Memorial Driveway Park)
Lambie Bush Reserve, Coolamatong (Lambie Gorge), North Ridge Reserve, Mount Gladstone
