Consultation has concluded

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is calling on the community to have their say on whether a proposed town clock in Cooma should become a reality.

The town clock will be located on the Vale Street and Sharp Street roundabout.

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on December 6, 2018, Council resolved to allocate $50,000 towards the construction of a Cooma town clock, should the community support the proposal.

Council has commenced community consultation on the proposed town clock. Residents are being asked whether they support the project or not. Feedback closes midnight Sunday 10 March.

Further information can be found in the document library (to the right of screen).

In addition to this online platform, SMRC will hold an information stall on the newsagency corner (Percy’s corner) of Vale and Sharp Streets on Thursday 28 February between 1pm - 2.30pm. Residents will be able to view the designs, chat with the project manager, and provide feedback.

Project background

In 2014, a community design competition was held and in collaboration with the Litchfield family, and a design was finalised.
