Dalgety Showground Playground

Construction and site works at Dalgety Showground Playground are now complete.

The playground has been handed over to SMRC Facilities and was opened to the public on Friday 2 November 2018.

Dalgety Showground Playground is another project delivered through the Stronger Communities Fund Major Projects Program (SCFMPP).

Dalgety Showground Playground - Consultation Summary

Council would like to thank everyone who participated in providing valuable feedback for the Dalgety Showground Playground concept design options that will be delivered as part of the Stronger Communities Fund – Major Projects Program (SCFMPP).

The consultation period ran between 18 June to 5 July 2018. Please download the summary report here.


Tree tidy up (Thursday 26 July 2018):

Following Community Consultation, it was agreed tree trimming be included into the scope of works for the Dalgety Showground Playground.

This tree tidy up was completed today (Thursday 26 July) and as can be seen in the following images, has created a more inviting and safe space for all visitors which will look great next the the new playground once complete later this year.
