Thank you to those community members who provided feedback on our draft Jindabyne Development Control Plan (DCP), which closed on Wednesday 7 February 2024.

Background

In July 2022, the Snowy Mountains Special Activation Precinct Master Plan (Master Plan) was finalised. The Master Plan outlines a vision for the area as a year-round tourist destination with new business opportunities, services and community infrastructure for those who live, work and visit the region.

The Department of Planning and Environment, in collaboration with Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation, National Parks and Wildlife Service and Snowy Monaro Regional Council, has prepared a suite of delivery documents to enable the delivery of the Snowy Mountains Special Activation Precinct (SAP).

These documents include the draft Jindabyne Development Control Plan (DCP), which will guide development and are on exhibition for formal public feedback between Wednesday 8 November 2023 and Wednesday 20 December 2023. This submission period has been extended to Wednesday 7 February 2024 to enable more time to review and provide feedback on the DCP.
