Draft Snowy Monaro 2040 Community Strategic Plan

Consultation has concluded

The draft Snowy Monaro 2040 Community Strategic Plan is now on public exhibition for 28 days and submissions are invited from interested members of the public.

The draft Snowy Monaro 2040 Community Strategic Plan is a 20 year plan that is intentionally a high level aspirational document. Details on what Council can contribute towards the community’s vision will be outlined in Council’s Delivery Program and Operational Plan. These documents are currently in development and will be presented to the community for comment in due time.

Whilst Council is responsible for developing the high level plan, its implementation is a shared responsibility with other partners such as State and Federal government agencies and community organisations.

Documents can be downloaded from this page and hardcopies can be viewed at each of our office locations (Berridale, Bombala, Cooma and Jindabyne) and at selected locations including:

  • Adaminaby General Store
  • Bombala Library
  • Bombala Visitors Centre
  • Bredbo Post Office
  • Cathcart General Store
  • Cooma Library
  • Cooma Visitors Centre
  • Delegate RTCT
  • Iona Gardens (Post Office), Dalgety
  • Michelago Post Office
  • Woolly Wonders (Post Office), Nimmitabel

Members of the public are invited to make comment on the proposals contained in these documents between 19 February 2018 and COB 25 March 2018.

Submissions regarding the draft Snowy Monaro 2040 Community Strategic Plan may be made any time during the exhibition period, by completed the below, via email to council@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au or written submissions can be sent to the General Manager, PO Box 714, Cooma, NSW, 2630.

  • Snowy Monaro 2040 Community Strategic Plan Feedback

    The draft Snowy Monaro 2040 Community Strategic Plan is now on public exhibition until 25 March 2018. The Plan presents the community’s vision for our region towards the year 2040. 

    It is one of the most important documents for the region as it details the opinions, and aspirations of the community expressed through extensive community consultation.
