Snowy Monaro Regional Council is encouraging the community to have their say on a draft report that outlines the flood risk and flood management plans for a number of towns in our region.
The Flood and Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan has been released for public exhibition, presenting the behaviour, assessment and future planning considerations to manage flooding risk in Berridale, Bredbo, Cooma and Michelago.
Council has received financial support from the State Floodplain Management program (managed by the former Office of Environment and Heritage, now Department of Planning, Industry and Environment) to undertake a flood investigation of these towns.
The draft report is out for community comment until 5pm Wednesday 7 October 2020.
