Consultation has concluded

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is excited to deliver this project as part of the Stronger Communities Fund – Major Projects Program (SCFMPP).

The concept design for the Jindabyne Town Centre Toilet Upgrade, Car Park Improvements and Plaza Paving are complete and we are now seeking your feedback.

The new toilet block at the Jindabyne Town Centre will be relocated (as per the below map). The installation of a new, low profile building will be built into the landscape, reducing the visual impact and maintaining the natural flow of the space.

The new facility will be a sustainable building with solar panels and batteries, it will be completely off-grid, allowing Council to reduce ongoing maintenance and annual operating costs. While the interior will be fitted with modern features, the external structure will be covered in an interchangeable wall canvas displaying a variety of artwork.

In addition to the new toilet block, work will also be carried out in the car park and Plaza area. A section of the Plaza pavers will be replaced, along with new bins to improve the dining areas. New compliant stairways and retaining walls and improved garden beds are to be installed to enhance the car park area of the Jindabyne Town Centre.

The submission period closed on this consultation on Thursday 31 January 2019. Our team is currently reviewing your feedback and will publish a summary report in the coming weeks.
