Is this a Council run event?

    Council works together with the larger Chambers across the Snowy Monaro to organise the event.

    Why does Council work on this event?

    The Snowy Monaro Business Awards recognise the monumental efforts of our local businesses that have helped make them successful. This event aligns with the NSW Business Chamber Awards to allow for recognition at a state level for some of our businesses.

    This event is self-funded through sponsorships and ticketing.

    How do I nominate?

    Download nomination forms, complete and submitted by email to ecodev@snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au, in person to our offices during business hours or by mail but must be received before the closing deadline 11.59pm Monday 10 April 2023.

    How do I vote?

    Public voting will open from Monday 24 April and will be via this page.

    Can I go to the dinner?

    Tickets to the Gala Dinner will be released in stages with the first allotment allocated to the finalists and any remaining tickets available from 1 May 2023.

    How much is it?

    The Business Awards are free to nominate.

    The Gala Dinner ticket pricing will be approximately $100 per ticket and confirm closer to the event.

    Can nominees go onto state level business awards?

    The winners of awards in the NSW Business Chambers aligned categories will be submitted through to the Regional Awards and possibly to the State finals. The other categories are local only so winners in these will not be able to progress further.

    When do nominations close?

    Nominations close 11.59pm Monday 10 April 2023. All submissions must be fully submitted by this time.

    Why is it in the same month as the Jindabyne Snowball?

    The Snowy Monaro Business Awards are required to fall in alignment with the timing of the Regional and State Business NSW Awards, Unfortunately, this just happens to be in the same month. The Business Awards take place at the start of the month to allow a clear timeframe between the two events.
