Tell your story

Discuss how we can help you identify noxious weeds and the best way to manage the problem?

Upload an image of the weed you wish to identify or require advice on how to manage.

Our weed identification forum is designed to provide information about terrestrial and aquatic invasive plant species (weeds) that are on a our weeds list in your local and regional area.

At this stage profiles are not available for all invasive plant species however we would like to provide our assistance to the community were needed in identifying these weeds.

If you would like any information on what a species looks like, its distribution, habitat, reproduction and dispersal, taxonomy, growth, impacts, control methods, origin, legislative status in states and territories, its status on national weed lists and references to other information on the weed we are more than happy to help.

Plants that are perfectly safe to plant in one part of the country can be an environmental or agricultural problem in another. Plants should be selected to suit the geographic area in which they will be planted. This forum will hopefully provide you with more information on what is a weed in your local area.

Thank you for your submission. Our Vegetation staff will provide a response. In the meantime if you would like to discuss please phone 1300 345 345.
