Public Exhibition Period: Wednesday 2 October 2019 to Wednesday 30 October 2019 inclusive

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is calling on the community to have their say on a concept plan for the new Cooma Cemetery.

The new Cooma Cemetery will be located on Numeralla Road, Cooma, adjacent to the Ti-Tree Racecourse.

In 1994, the then Cooma-Monaro Shire Council acquired the vacant Crown Land for future use as a cemetery. Previously, the land was under the care and control of the Ti-Tree Racecourse Trust and the then Council purchased the land in 2011.

Snowy Monaro Regional Council has engaged landscape architects NBRS to prepare a design concept plan (available for download)to develop the land in three stages, for the purpose of a new cemetery. The first stage will be developed over the next decade.

Feedback will be accepted until 5pm Wednesday 30 October.

Submissions can be made by completing the below survey, or in writing to the General Manager

In-person: to any Council office
